FAQ:
What time doe the skate start?
The meeting point is in front of the Fort
Fun car park along the Eastbourne Sea front. Car park is free!!
TBC.
How long does the night skate last?
The actual skate only last for approximately
over an hour. However before we return back to the Fort Fun car
park, we often have a stop over at one of the ice cream parlors!
This can often add an extra 30 mins onto the skate!
How safe is the night skate?
The night skate takes place along the Eastbourne
promenade which has a very good skating surface. However skaters
do need to be careful, as we are skating at night and spotting un
even surfaces such as drain covers can be difficult .Therefore falls
and injuries can occur!! The E.S.A encourages all skaters to wear
safety equipment, including skating lights!
How much does the Friday night skate cost?
This is free event. All we encourage you
to do is bring some money for an evening ice cream or a hot drink!
Do you have to be a very good skater to join?
The night skate will often break up into
smaller groups. Faster skaters and slower skaters will naturally
group together. If you feel unable to keep up with those groups
then the Night skate might not be for you!
Is there any age restriction to the skate?
There is no age restriction, however we do
insist that young children are accompanied by an adult. It is important
to understand that this is an informal skating event where the accompanying
adult is fully responsible for the child.
