We appreciate that not everybody can attend our indoor group sessions and that some may prefer to develop their skating abilities faster by having a one on one lesson.

As an Association our ethos is to encourage people to take up skating.Therefore we pride ourselve in assuring that our advice is for your benefit and not our pockets.

We deliver courses that are not just fantastic value for money but also provides the same level of service as other Inline skate lessons/ skate schools in Eastbourne. Instructors are qualified to the national IISA standards and most importantly have the ability and experience to teach effectively.

Most of our one on one inline lessons takes place outside along the Eastbourne sea front, however if you wish to have your lesson indoors then a minimum of 2-3 weeks notice is required. DESCRIPTION- Inline skate lessons in Eastbourne

TURNS MASTER CLASS

The lesson will focus on a variety of different skating turns. By developing these areas, skaters can improve not only your turns but also your balance and agility,making more advance skills more achieveable. The lesson also importantly looks at the practical application of these turns. Great for street skating and indoor skate games.

SKATING STRIDES

Have you ever wondered why some skaters seem to skate so much faster and with such ease and grace. Well the trick is all about understanding your edges and weight distribution. This lesson will focus on these areas and teach you practical skills in assuring an optimum skating stride. This is one of the most important lesson in providing you with a balanced and graceful skating stride, ready for the summer.

BACKWARDS SKATING

Have you ever wanted to skate backwards, then this course is for you. The session will concentrate on the use of edges and upper body to achieve a perfect backward skating stride including the process of backward cross over. The lessons will brake down the stride into several manageable steps and by the end of the course you will be able to skate backwards and to practice what you have learned.

STOPPING MASTER CLASS

One of the most requested skills that people wish to learn. This course teaches you a variety of effective and useful stops that can be used indoors or outdoors. Although the trusted heal brake has its place it not neccessarelly the safest and best way of stopping in all circumstances. On many occassions the heal break is rendered useless especially when trying to stop and avoid obstacles at the same time. These 2 lessons will focus on slowing down/stopping without the heal brake.

Street Skate Workshop

The street skate workshop is a 2 hour long session where skaters gain practical skills in skating outdoors. The course will teach you how to overcome certain hazards using a vareity of different skating stride and stops for specific hazardous terrain such as uneven pavements, slops and kerbs. We will aslo teach you the rules of the road and a variety of stops designed specifically for the outdoors such as the " Grass stop". This is a really useful course and will get you ready for the summer. This course is FREE for any skaters that has attended any previous courses.

FREESTYLE SLALOM & TRICKS

Learn some advance skate skills that will even impress you non skating friends. Slalom is a great discipline that improves your agility and balance. These skills can either be used to impress or to develop and improve your skating in a variety of different skating discipline inlcuding Roller hockey or even freestyle skate dancing.

SPEED SKATING

Do you wish to improve your overall balance and speed. Speed skating is a team orientated sport that will teach you a vareity of different skating skills including the importance of the double push in reaching optimum speed. This stride is advance and requires skaters to attend the skating stride 2 lesson.

ROLLER HOCKEY

(Adult Session only)

 

This session is designed for senior skaters that wish to take up roller hockey. The course will teach you a vareity of different hockey oriented skills including stick control, turns, stopping and game play.
